Pencemaran Udara Dan Penanggulangannya.

Secara umum terdapat 2 sember pencemaran udara, yaitu:
1. Pencemaran akibat sumber alamiah.
Contohnya seperti letusan gunung berapi.
2. Pencemaran yang berasal dari kegiatan manusia.
Contohnya seperti yang berasal dari kegiatan manusia lebih berbahaya dibandingkan dengan pencemaran yang berasal dari alam.

Ada beberapa zat pencemaran udara utama yang berasal dari kegiatan manusia, yaitu karbonmonodioksida (CO), oksida sulfur (SOx), oksida nitrogen (NOx), partikulat, hidrokarbon (HC), dan oksida fotokimia.

Di Indonesia, 70% pencemaran udara disebabkan oleh emisi kendaraan bermotor. Emisi dari kendaraan bermotor mengandung timbal. Bahaya dari timbal sangat mengerikan bagi manusia,  terutama anak-anak. Bahaya itu diantaranya:
-mempengaruhi fungsi otak
-kemampuan belajar
-menurunkan fungsi organ pendengaran
-merusak fungsi organ tubuh

Begitu membahayakan sekali untuk kehidupan. Ada beberapa usaha yang dapat kita lakukan, diantaranya:
-Memperbaiki sistem transpotasi yang ada saat ini.
-Menanggulangi pencemaran industri.
-Menanami lahan-lahan kosong.
